FedEx

For FedEx it is obvious that they want you to recall their slogan of "overnight delivery." However, I have never used this service. I do think that this is a really good company though that offers the best shipping rates and is really easy to trust. With my experiences, when I go in they are not as frugal with giving away free packing materials as UPS is. UPS packs and ship for you, but they charge an arm and a leg to do so. The rates are outrageous. I wanted them to pack and ship a lightweight framed poster, and they told me it would be $50. How absurd, at FedEx I estimated it would cost less then half that, I ended up not shipping it at all because the poster is not even worth more then $20.

I think FedEx bring about feelings of safety, speedy delivery, and the best rates. As a person who has shipped many things (I have sold over 100 products between Amazon and EBay), my best experiences come with FedEx. I have no affiliation with FedEx, so don't accuse me of that...what do all of you think?

1st brand of topic-UNDER ARMOR

UNDER ARMOR-
This brand was a start up back in 1999 I believe. I remember buying one of there loose gear long sleeve black shirts. The material on the shirt was very comfortable, and I feared that people would make fun of me because it was that soccer shirt type material. However, people did not make fun of me, and about 5 years later, everyone started buying under armor. There product line has grown quite a bit since then 1999, they carry cleats, gloves, training shoes, and much more.

This brand makes me feel goooooooooooood. For some reason I just trust them that they are going to deliver me high quality products. I have used their "yard II" batting gloves for a while now. They are expensive, but they deliver unparalleled performance. Although under armor has been very successful the past several years, I do think that Nike and other companies are starting to make good imitations that are close to equivalent in quality to under armor. Much is remained to be seen here. Let me know your thoughts about Under Armor. Thanks

Intro to Branding Blog

This blog will be dedicated to anyone and everyone in the area of talking about brands. Posts will be encouraged to answer a few questions such as:

1. How does a brand make you feel?

2. Why do you choose certain brands?

3. Why have you changed brands in the past?

and more specific questions like-
4. Say your a loyal Advil user, if Advil's price was lowered to below a "house brand" would you still buy it and have the same feelings about it?

5. Why are you so committed to a particular brand

This will be an interesting blog. My hope is that my posts create discussions that get everyone to know brands better, and possibly in the future save us $ by using the highest value creating brands.
